The Rocks Sydney

Historic sites that have been restored in the city of Sydney offers everything from boutique shops to the art gallery. Borobudur Temple History

Borobudur was built around 800 BC or 9th century. Borobudur Temple was built by the Mahayana Buddhists during the reign of Wangsa Syailendra. This temple was built in the heyday Syailendra dynasty. Founder of the Borobudur Temple is derived from King Samaratungga dynasty or dynasties Syailendra. The possibility of this temple was built around 824 AD and was completed around the year 900 AD during the reign of Queen Pramudawardhani who is the daughter of Samaratungga. While the architects who contributed to build this temple according to stories passed down through generations named Gunadharma.

Borobudur own words based on the first written evidence which was written by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, Governor General of the United Kingdom in Java, which gives the name of this temple. There is no written evidence that older who gave the name of this temple of Borobudur. Only one of the oldest document showing the existence of this temple is Nagarakertagama book, written by mpu Prapanca in the year 1365. In the book was written that this temple was used as a place of Buddhist meditation. Meaning of the name Borobudur is “a monastery in the hills”, which comes from the word “coal” (temple or monastery) and “beduhur” (hills or high places) in Sanskrit. Therefore, in accordance with the meaning of the name Borobudur, then this place since first used as a place of Buddhist worship.

Bondi Beach in Sydney

Only 30 minutes drive from downtown Sydney on Oxford Street (changes to Enfield Drive and then Bondi Road) brings you to the door south of Bondi Beach. 380 bus from Circular Quay will get you there in about 40 minutes or the train to Bondi Junction, then bus 381 or 382 will drop you right on the beach as well. Buses from Bondi Junction to the beach takes about 15 minutes.

In the summer of Bondi is a place that is rich in sun, waves, and very pleasant. This beach is part of the bay of white sand shaped like a large moon and also a place to surf. This beach is bordered by parks and apartments overlooking the blue waters. Stretching along the coast, and across busy Campbell Parade and crowded, stand up restaurants, shops, hotels and tourism outlets for the souvenir hunters who are preoccupied with shopping activities most of the time. Right behind these shops are apartments and hotels, both for short term and long term for visitors.

Sydney Harbour – Cruises, Attractions and Interesting Spots

This town has been built around a beautiful harbor, but most are covered by huge swathes of green, some capes and cozy sandy beach. A fun way to go to places to visit such historical Parramatta, Homebush Olympic Site, Manly Beach and many others including Taronga Zoo, is to take Jetcat, ferry or rivercat from Circular Quay.

Located by the Sydney Opera House, the park covers more than 30 hectares of colorful flowers, the rose garden, threatened and species of exotic and beautiful Harbourside reviews. Taronga Zoo, accessible by ferry at Circular Quay, has a large collection of Australian fauna plus another animal from all over the world. Including, of course, koalas, wombats, kangaroos, Wallabees and more. Mrs. Macquaries Chair, on the other side of the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney Opera House, has the best view of the harbor.
